This manuscript, in the hand of  the arranger, Max Puttmann (as noted in a pencil annotation), served as the printer's copy for the first edition (PF4h1) and the plate number (C.F.K.N. 7451)  has been added to the foot of all pages. The work on the arrangement and its engraving was probably undertaken in the autumn of 1915, when the high-voice piano-vocal score (CV4h) was prepared. The text is given in German only.

A pencil note at the head of fol. 1r instructs Stich von Partitur / und Orchesterstimmen / auf 4° Format; an annotation at the foot of fol. 1r notes Die Orchesterstimmen / erhalten den No. 7452. The reference number 75008/9 appears in the r.h. margin of fol. 1r.

There is an indistinct rubber-stamped note in the top r.h. corner of 1r setting out the terms and conditions associated with the use of the score for performances:
