Notes |
|
The arranger was Max Puttmann, who is identified in a pencil
annotation on fol 1r; the pencil instructions are
Stich Pariser formatΉ and
Text aus der mittl. Ausgabe (i.e. it was to be in German
only: the vocal part in the manuscript is untexted; see
CV1t1
for a similar annotation).
The plate number (7445)
was added in ink at the foot of fol. 1v and 2r, and suggests
that the arrangement was probably prepared in late 1915 and this
is confirmed by the dated set of proofs (PV4hpr); 75488
is noted in the r.h. margin on fol. 1r: it is probably a
job number connected with the engraving and/or printing of
this transposition, and also appears on the proofs. At some date the manuscript was folded twice along both its
vertical and horizontal axes. |
