Notes |
|
Apart from the first, Puttmann did not
include any of the tempo instructions in his ink arrangement:
those missing were added later in pencil. A pencil editorial
note Platten pariser Format relates to the page format;¹ a
reference number, 75152, has been added in pencil in the
top r.h. corner of 1r, and the plate number (7468) has
been added in ink at the foot of the page. In the top l.c.
corner of fol. 1r eilt! has been written prominently in
red pencil, suggesting a degree of urgency. The publication was
announced in Hofmeister in March 1916, so perhaps the manuscript
dates from early 1916. The
vocal line is untexted, the rehearsal numbers are omitted, and
the change of key signature to G major is placed a bar later
than in the original, at b. 75. |
